MVA W/Entrapment - Springfield Rd

The Georgetown Fire Co. Inc., along with Station 93, SCEMS, and DSP Trooper 2, were dispatched for a MVA with entrapment. Units responding were advised of a single vehicle that had hit head on with a trailer that became disconnected from a pick up. 1st Asst. Chief Rogers arrived on scene confirming the report with (2) subjects trapped, both were priority 1 and 2. A board came through the front windshied of the car just missing the passenger by inches. Eng. 77-2 was assigned to stablilize and to start extrication on the drivers side. Rescue 77 was assigned to assist with extrication of removing both driver and passenger doors, then remove the roof. Extrication was completed in approx. 10 mins when the pts were turned over to EMS. The passenger was taken to BMC by A-83 and SCEMS. The driver was flown to CER by Trooper 2. Scene was turned over to DSP and Del Dot.
