Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident - Seashore Highway (Rt. 404)

The Georgetown Fire Company, along with Georgetown Ambulance and Sussex EMS were alerted for a serious motor vehicle accident on Rt 404. 77-CMD with Asst. Chief Mark Rogers arrived on scene advising of 3 vehicles involved with heavy damage, and numerous patients. He requested 3 aviation units, along with BLS units from Seaford and Bridgeville. 77-2 and Rescue-77 performed extrication on the vehicle with 3 patients trapped. All patients were extricated and transported to area hospitals. Units remained on the scene with the roadway closed for about two more hours awaiting the State Police F.A.I.R. Team investigation and arrival of the ME. Units Cleared approx. 10:00 PM
