Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident - Trap Pond Rd. & Piney Grove Rd.

The Georgetown Fire Co., Inc. was dispatched for a serious MVA at approx. 1530 hrs. Chief Swain & 77-0 responded, were advised of of 2 veh MVA, w/entrapment and 1 pt. in cardiac arrest. Chief Swain and 2 BLS units from Station 93 arrived at the sametime confirming 2 pts., with rapid extrication. BLS & ALS conituned CPR on the 1 pt. and 77-0 assisted BLS with pt. care of the 2nd pt.. Rescue 77 was assigned to assist 77-0's crew and to secure both vehicles. Eng. 77-2 took care of the glass on the road and fluids leaking from the vehicles. Both pts. were pri. 1 taken to N.M.H & B.M.C. by BLS & ALS. One of the pts. were unfortunately pronounced later at the hospital. Units remianed on scene for D.S.P. Units responding 77-0, Rescue 77, Eng. 77-1, B-93, C-93, and SCEMS.
