MVA W/Entrapment & Rollover - E. Trap Pond Rd

The Georgetown Fire Co. Inc was dispatched at approx. 1130 hrs for a single vehicle MVA W/Rollover. 77 Command with Chief Swain, 77-0, B-93, and SCEMS all responded at the same time. 77 Command arrived on scene confirming 1 subject trapped, vehicle on its side, and the roof up against 2 trees. 77-0 was assigned vehicle stabilization and to remove the windshield to start making access to the patient. Patient was suspended in the air by her seat belt and no pulse was felt. Rescue 77 with 1st Asst. Chief Rogers arrived and was assigned as the extrication officer. Once the glass was repositioned, we cut the A post, and folded the upper roof section with the spreaders that made enough access to the patient. Patient was then down graded to a pri. 4 by SCEMS. Eng 77-2's crew covered the vehicle till D.S.P fatal team arrived. Units remained on scene for approx. 2 hrs and then removed the patient from the vehicle. Units responding 77 Command, 77-0, Rescue 77, Eng. 77-2, B-93, SCEMS, and Trooper 2.
