MVA W/Roof Removal - Dupont Blvd & Kruger Rd

At 1042 hrs. the Georgetown Fire Co. Inc. was dispatched for an MVA at teh above location. 77 Command responded with Chief Swain & 2nd Asst. Chief Rogers in POV, were advised that 2 vehicles were involved and possible entrapment. Both arrived on scene confirming 1 pt. trapped and 2 other pts. out of the second vehicle. 77-0 responded with Deputy Chief Barrett, they were assigned vehicle stabilization, glass removal, and Deputy Chief Barrett was assigned as the extrication officer. Rescue 77 responded with 1st Asst. Chief Rogers and were assigned roof removal on the Chevy Blazer. Tools utilized were the combi tool & o-cutter on the drivers side, combi tool & sawsall on the passenger side. Extrication was completed in about 5 to 10 mins, 77-2 was assigned pt. care and securing vehicles. In all 3 pts. were taken to the local hospital by B-93, B-83, & SCEMS. Units responding 77 Command, 77-0, Rescue 77, Eng. 77-2, B-93, C-93, B-83, Medic 103, & EMS 200.
