House Fire - 207 E. Pine St

At 1224 hrs. the Georgetown Fire Co., along with the Station 83, 93, and Medic 103 were alerted for a structure fire at the above address. At first there was some miss communication on which street the fire actually was due to the language barrier of the reporting party to the 911 Center. 77 Command with Chief Swain responded and confirmed the exact location. 77 Command arrived on scene with smoke showing side A of a 2 1/2 story S.F.D. and occupants still inside the residence. Eng. 77-4 responded and was positioned on the corner of sides A & D, the crew was assigned primary search and to pull off an 1 3/4" line crosslay. Primary search was conducted quickly on all floors and the fire was found inside the kitchen wall area. By this time Ladder 77 arrived position on sides A & B, they were assigned to ladder the structure and assist Eng 77-4's crew with advancing the hose line to side C. A 2nd 1 3/4" line was pulled for back up by Eng. 77-3's crew after they laid a 5" line from the hydrant. Interior and exterior crews started opening the wall exposing the fire which had advanced up the walls of the balloon construction to the 2nd floor. Ladder 77's crew along with members from Station 83 operated the 2nd floor above the kitchen area. Rescue 77, B-93, and Medic 103 established rehab in the street at the corner of E. Pine St & S. Railroad Ave.. Units remained on scene for some extensive overhaul and to assist FM-10, whose investigating the fire. O.I.C. Chief Swain, Operations 2nd Asst. Units responding 77 Command,Eng. 77-4, Ladder 77, Eng. 77-3, Rescue 77, 83-1, Ladder 83, Rescue 83, B-93, Medic 103, FM-10, and G.P.D..
