On Saturday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 5:14 PM, the Georgetown Fire Company and Georgetown EMS/Station 93 responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of East Trap Pond Road and Dusty Road. The incident involved a vehicle colliding with a utility pole, resulting in downed wires. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. East Trap Pond Road is currently closed in both directions and will remain so for an extended period while crews work to restore power.
